Do I Install a Residential or Commercial Water Heater?

The Wrong One Could Affect The Warranty
Did you know installing a residential water heater in the wrong application can affect the warranty? This is a common occurrence in light commercial applications, such as beauty salons, strip malls, offices, and even duplexes. Basically, any application where there is not one water heater per single family dwelling.
The Bradford White warranty for all residential water heaters states: Any (1) to (8) year tank warranted water heater used for other than a single family housing unit will be covered for only one year on tank and parts regardless of any other warranty period specified. Any (10) year warranted water heater used for other than a single-family housing unit will be covered for three years on tank and one year on parts regardless of any other warranty period specified.
The Solution
Turn to Bradford’s Light Duty Commercial water heaters. Bradford White’s light-duty commercial electric and gas water heaters are built specifically for these applications to withstand higher usage rates and still provide a three-year (or upgraded five-year) warranty.
