Silicon carbide mesh is sharper and tends to cut faster and produce finer scratch patterns on most surfaces. Black open mesh can be used on a wide variety of surfaces and materials. These include ferrous and nonferrous metals, ceramics, plastics, fiberglass, plywood and others.
