Designed for low ambient cooling applications for the P-Series outdoor units, P-Series wind baffles allow full capacity operation at lower outdoor ambient conditions. To extend the PUY cooling only outdoor units to full capacity cooling down to -20 deg F it is necessary to add side and rear wind baffles to the PUY unit. The installation location will dictate specific wind baffle requirements. Please note that in addition to the front wind baffles the use of advanced wind baffles do not lower the cooling capacity range of the PUZ heat pump outdoor units.
