32. Show An Attitude Of Gratitude.

Recognizing people doing things right is more effective than pointing out when they do things wrong. Focus on people’s strengths and regularly extend meaningful acknowledgement and appreciation – in all directions throughout our company.

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

According to Time Magazine (http://time.com/5026174/health-benefits-of-gratitude/) Gratitude has seven surprising health benefits. Gratitude makes you more patient, improves relationships, improves self-care, helps you sleep, stops you from overeating, eases depression, and creates happiness that lasts.

Looking at these seven benefits makes me think about all the unfortunate troubles that impact people in the world today. What is one small thing we can do to help change the world you ask? Let’s promote GRATITUDE!

I would like to give a shout out to all the men and women within Famous that answer the phones. From Administrative Assistants, to Inside Sales, Outside Sales, and Counter Sales. They take calls every day, and when they pick up the phone they don’t always know what they are going to get on the other end. By choosing to have an “Attitude of Gratitude” when answering the phone, they may be able to turn another person’s day around. That goes a long way for Famous, our customers, and extends all the way to our families. This will create a foundation of gratitude for all of us and our children’s, children.
