BridgIt® burn resistant soldering paste flux stays active to 800 deg F. At soldering temperature, including those required by most new lead-free solders, BridgIt® flux will not burn, thus reducing carbon formations that may result in leaks. The flux is unexcelled for use in soldering copper, brass, bronze, galvanized and other plumbing fittings. This flux works extremely well with BridgIt® lead-free solder in potable water systems. This flux, however, should work equally well with other solders. BridgIt® paste flux meets all requirements of the Safe Drinking Water act.
